Festival of Trees
Celebrate the holiday season with your local nonprofits!
New for 2022, Promise Place is hosting a Festival of Trees in New Bern to celebrate the holiday season and recognize the great work of all our local nonprofits! We’re partnering with the DoubleTree by Hilton to bring you a holiday celebration the likes of which you’ve never seen before!
Through the entire month of December (12/3-12/22), trees of all shapes, sizes, and styles will be displayed in the lobby of the New Bern DoubleTree located at 100 Middle Street in downtown New Bern. Stroll through the shops in downtown New Bern, attend Breakfast with Santa watch the Holiday Flotilla parade on the riverfront, and visit the DoubleTree hotel to view our trees, sponsored by the local non-profit organizations that call Eastern North Carolina home. All trees will be available for auction and will be available for pick up between Dec 22-26th.
Please see blow for additional information to support your local nonprofits! Have questions? Drop us a line at fundraising@promiseplacenc.org

The LGBTQIA+ New Bern Facebook group was founded in August 2021 and now boasts over 400 members. It has become a haven for all LGBTQIA+ individuals in New Bern and the surrounding areas.
The idea for Pride Prom sparked when the LGBTQIA+ New Bern admin, David Bucksot, had a prom themed birthday party and saw his friends experience prom for the first time, or in some cases, all over again – but this time as themselves. He wanted to share this experience with the rest of the New Bern community, so he gathered his friends to help create his vision on a large scale.
